Artful intelligence?

With AI, words aren’t scarce. It’s no longer about whether you’ve got them. It’s which ones you pick.

It’s easier than ever to open a chatbot and generate endless words for a website, bio, pitch, or project. That can solve the blank page. It can’t tell you what the actual problem is or what rings true.

Sometimes the draft is competent and still wrong. It uses the right nouns, says the expected things, and gives no one anything to recognize. The work is noticing that difference early enough to change course.

A person still has to recognize when the language is true to what they mean and when it might ring true to someone else. That human recognition is the part you can’t replace.

A field of looping algorithmic lines.

True to you. True to them.

Much of that meeting now happens through a screen. Someone may encounter you for the first time through a homepage, a post, an email, or a page of generated copy. The medium has changed. The human-to-human exchange hasn’t.

Artificial intelligence can produce many plausible versions. Artful intelligence brings taste, context, intuition, and resonance. It helps you notice the version that sounds like you and gives another person something real to recognize.

The words need to be true to you and ring true to the person on the other end.
